The Center offers games targeted toward new and developing players. These games are limited in masterpoints so you play against others at your level, and all are directed in a relaxed environment.
Newcomer games include a small training element before play, and the director can help with bidding and play decisions during the game. The Monday morning chat game is preceded by a free 30-minute lesson.
Newcomer/intermediate games play a full set of boards without a training component and are a good fit for players who are comfortable with the general flow of the game.
The Sunday 8-is-Enough team game uses team points: A players (over 2,000 masterpoints) count as 3, B players (750 to 1,999) count as 2, and C players (fewer than 750) count as 1. A team’s total may not exceed 8 — for example, four B players or two A and two C players are allowed, but three A players and one C player are not.
